David Goldshore

David Goldshore enters his first year as the Varsity Head Coach after five years working with Staples Basketball as the Junior Varsity Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. Prior to Staples, Coach Goldshore worked as a Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach at Somers High School in Somers, NY. David grew up in Chappaqua, NY and was a 3 sport Varsity Letterman in football, basketball (captain) and baseball at Horace Greeley High School. Coach graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1995. During that time, he worked for Coach Steve Fisher as a Student Manager for the Men’s Basketball Team during the Fab Five Era. Currently, David is the President/CEO of RightClick, a Technology Staffing Firm based in Stamford. Coach Goldshore resides in Westport with his wife, Lauren, daughter Jordyn, and sons, Jake and Justin.


Bob Buswell

Bob is beginning his 6th season coaching the Staples High School Junior Varsity team. Previously, Bob spent one season as Head Basketball Coach at The University of Bridgeport taking over the program from the Legendary Bruce Webster. He also spent a season as an Assistant Coach at UB. Bob was also Head Coach at The Milford Academy. During his 4 years coaching at Milford, he sent over 30 players to D1 Colleges, 3 of those players Stevie Francis, Norman Richardson and Jerome Moiso going on to play in the NBA. Bob and his wife Michelle live in Oxford and have 2 daughters Christina, 23 and Rebecca, 20.


Chris Pickens

Chris Pickens joins the Wreckers coaching staff in the '22-'23 season, bringing over twenty years of experience training athletes of all levels, including high school, college, and professional players. Most recently, Coach Pickens worked with Xavier University and their alumni team, Zip ‘Em Up, as an Assistant Coach at the TBT Tournament. Prior to that, he spent seven years in the Chicago area as the Assistant Varsity Head Coach at two different high schools, Lake Zurich High School and Mundelein High School, reaching the Elite 8 and winning Conference, Regional, and Sectional Championships. Coach Pickens is proud to have mentored and coached five All-State players, ten All-Area players, ten All-Conference players and a Two-Time Conference Player of the Year.


Jake Sullivan

Jake Sullivan is entering his first season as the Junior Varsity Head Basketball Coach at Staples. Prior to Staples, Jake coached the Ludlowe JV Summer League team for seven years, and spent the 2016-2017 season as a Varsity Assistant at Ludlowe during the winter season. Jake grew up loving the game of basketball, and fondly remembers learning it from his father David Sullivan, who coached at St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School for over 30 years. Jake played 4 years at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. In 2016, he received the Basketball Scholarship awarded to one senior, and also the John Mullady Award, which goes to one athlete who best represents athletics at Ludlowe. Jake has always found enjoyment in the game of basketball and is always looking to learn more and more even as a coach. He wants his players to have a similar experience to what he had in growing up and having fun playing basketball. Outside of hoops, Jake loves to workout, and watch his favorite sports teams, which include Notre Dame football, UConn basketball, and the New York Knicks.


Corey Baldwin

Corey Iamonico

Corey is certified with the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and is licensed through the state of Connecticut. She graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Upon graduation Corey worked for Forme Rehabilitation in New York where she was contracted to Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Mount Vernon, & New Rochelle High Schools. She returned to Connecticut in 2009, worked for Innovative Health & Rehabilitation, and covered New Canaan Youth Football, Staples High School in the winter, and worked in the clinic setting during the spring and summer. She is entering her 10th year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Staples High School. She is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practioner. Corey is originally from Hartsdale, New York and currently lives in Bridgeport.
